Lambing Farm Tour Experience | Wed 9th April | 2pm

This tour is taking place on Wednesday 9th April at 2pm at The Dartmoor Shepherd Workshop and Woolshed, Chagford, Devon, TQ13 8DJ. It is signed from the road. There is plenty of parking down the track. 

We host seasonal farm tours at our farm base in Chagford. Our farm is not usually open to the public, so farm tours are a great opportunity to see behind the scenes.

On this farm tour you will meet our friendly sheepdogs Moss and Holly as we take you for a walk around our outdoor lambing flock where you can be amongst the ewes and lambs in the field and ask any questions you have about lambing.

We will then head to the barn where you will be able to cuddle a lamb and pet some of the ewes that have come in. There may also be an opportunity to bottle feed some orphan lambs if we have any on the farm at the time of your visit (we usually do). Then if you would like we can take you onto the hill where you can see and feed our 8 Tamworth piglets roaming out in the woodland. 

There will be a chance for a cup of tea/coffee and some refreshments. After the tour there is an opportunity to visit our shop located in Chagford town square where you can have a look at our woollen and sheepskin products that are made in house by us. You will also receive a 10% discount in store that day. 

* Please note if we don't meet the minimum number of people for the tour we may have to reschedule. Refunds will be issued if we move the date and you cannot attend. However, if you choose to cancel your tour less than a week before the tour date we cannot issue a refund. Thank you for your understanding. By booking you are acknowledging these conditions. 

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
